Nice Weather

I've been really slacking on my blog lately b/c of some internet problems we've been having with our computer. I haven't been posting as much, and I haven't been reading my friends blogs like I usually do. So, I'm on my dad's computer now and can play make-up.
Last weekend we went up to Forest Lakes with my uncle Matt, his wife Melissa and his 3 kids. It was beautiful weather! It was so nice to escape the heat. They had some fun toys, too. I don't know what this thing was called, but Julia and Ruby loved being buckled in and going for a ride. They also had quads. But I wouldn't let Julia ride that. We also had a picnic by this little pond/river (I couldn't tell what it was). Julia really liked the water, but wanted to know where all the fishies were. Nathan thought he was Bear Grilles and was trying to build a shelter. (As if I would ever sleep under that thing).

Well, to our pleasant surprise, after returning from up north to the heat, we only had to bear two days of it before we had some most excellent rain and cool air. The first day of it, we decided to go to the zoo. Not so good an idea. It rained almost the whole time we were there. Julia still liked it though, and my mom had some free train passes. We just rode the train the whole time so that we could stay sheltered. It was really cool, though, b/c the lions and tigers were out. The tiger actually climbed to the top of his tree right in front of us! I've never seen anything like it! The elephant also seemed to be out enjoying the shower :)
I also wanted to add in this picture of Julia. I put this dress on her for church Sunday only to hear Nathan, "What in the world are you putting on her!?" It was my dress that my mom had made for me and took my 2 year old pictures in. It is a little 80's, but I think she looks cute.
Ok, I'm almost done with this super long post. Yesterday, we made another attempt at family pictures. I just REALLY wanted a good one before it got to hot to take them outside and my belly was the size of a beach ball. We got lucky this time, finally. The weather was beautiful, and even though Julia was not cooperating, somehow my amazing mom was able to snap a few good ones. She also took some family shots of Matt and Melissa. They had some cute ones, too. But I do not envy them trying to get three kids to cooperate, rather than just my one! Thank you so much for your patience and talent mom! And here's some free advertising: If anyone needs pic's, give her a call! She's good and cheap! :)

Flight of the Conchords- Business Time

Nathan loves these guys, and this is one of his favorite songs they do. So...in celebration of his birthday, I have devoted this post to him:
