Visit from the Griffiths

This past week was Nathan's first vacation (He gets 3 one week vacations a year). Our good friends, Zac and Catherine Griffith, and their two little girls, Isabelle and Ava, came for a visit. The first couple of days we just kinda chilled. Wednesday and Thursday were a little busier. We drove up to Anaheim Wednesday morning to go to Disneyland! Wednesday was a little stressful for me. Before we went to the park, we checked into our hotel that we would be staying in that night. Then Nathan walked to the gas station next door to put air in our stroller tires. Well, it turns out one of the tires had a thorn in it, which caused a small leak, so by the time we walked over to the park, in what seemed like blazing heat, it was flat again. Nathan was able to borrow a pump from the stroller rental place, but it was flat again in a couple hours, so we just pushed it on a flat. So, by the time we'd gone on a couple rides, I was stressed about the stroller, super hot, (I wore jeans. Not smart.) and in pain. I had wore a new pair of shoes and in return received a huge blister on both pinky toes. At about six we were totally wiped, and as a joke I told the guys they should take the kids to McDonalds, and let Catherine and I play. They went for it, and Catherine and I enjoyed the park for about an hour and a half longer before we headed back to the hotel. That was very nice.

Mason and Minnie, very cute

Mason was trying to take off Jasmine's straps! Naughty, naughty!

Our second day was less stressful. Nathan was able to fix the tire Wednesday night with a patch kit, and I wore shorts and different shoes.

Daddy's so mean while Julia was sleeping.

All of us after a long day at the Happiest Place on Earth!

At dinner, there was this guy making balloon characters. He was really good, so we had him make something for the girls. He made them crowns. Aren't they cool?
