Two down, Sixteen more to go...

Julia turned two on Thursday, April 24th. We spent most of the day in airports or flying back to Phoenix from Las Vegas, but I think she still had a good birthday. She loved flying. She called the airplane a shark, and I tried to get her to call it a jet, so she'd call it a shark-jet. Whatever. She was awesome on the flight, she just got really ancy while we were waiting on the runway. She didn't understand why she had to stay in her seat or on my lap with a seatbelt on. Well we made it home safely, and got to see daddy, and decided to go to Peter Piper Pizza for her birthday dinner. She loved it! We couldn't even get her to eat. She just wanted to go on this stupid merri-go-round over and over and over again. It cost 50 cents and lasted about 10 seconds so, needless to say, we spent too much money on the darn thing. Here's a pic of her so happy.
On Saturday, we had a last minute mini party for her at the park. We had some of our close friends there. Thanks for coming guys!! And they all spoiled Julia with fun gifts. Grandma Jeppesen even got her a really cool kitchen set! We had a pinata which she thought was so cool, but we only had a baseball bat, and I think it was too heavy for her to get a full swing. Our friend Zac eneded up just ripping it open and shaking out the candy. My favorite part of all was when Julia's friend, Isabelle, leaned over and blew out Julia's birthday candles before Julia could. We relit and Julia got her chance, but it was way funny.
Here's a video of it. I don't know why the right side is cut off, but you can still see what's going on:

Pregnancy Blues

So, as most of you have noticed by my baby ticker, I'm pregnant. Nathan and I decided it's finally time for number two. Now, let me start this out by saying this is a vent/complaining post, so if you don't want to hear it, stop reading now and just leave me a comment of congratulations :) Otherwise, here goes:
First, are we really ready for number two? Julia is crazy and getting crazier. We live with my parents, and Nathan still has a year of school left. We're insane, I know. But, seeing a few of my friends in my situation, or not, having number two, or even number three, I try to have faith.
Also, I've been upset for a few weeks now, mainly b/c I'm only 11 weeks and I've already gained 12 pounds. What really set me off tonight was I was looking at old postings from last year, and I was a lot smaller. I'm already about to start wearing maternity clothes, and I was at least 20 weeks when I started to with Julia. My butt is all of a sudden the size of Texas and I not only have a baby bump, but love handles!!! I feel sick all the time, but never throw up, and some might say that's lucky, but I wish I would just throw up and get it over with! I haven't changed my diet or my work out routine. Even at 5:00 in the morning, when I am so sick and tired, I get up and run 5-6 miles. So why the weight gain? One of my friends told me some people are just destined to gain more weight while being pregnant. Your metabolism can slow down and your body holds on to fat. What's up with that? That's not fair! If I take care of my body, it should show!!! And to top it all off, we're going to Hawaii in July, and at this rate, by that time I'm going to be a whale! They'll think I'm beached when I'm laying out on the beach and roll me back into the ocean!
Once again I apologize, but really, it's not fair. Those of you who know me well, know that I am a work-out-aholic. Please advice or empathy from anyone.

Fun Weekend!

This was probably the first weekend in a long time that we actually went out with friends Friday AND Saturday night. It felt like we were in high school again! ha ha, not really. Mostly b/c we still had psycho baby with us. It was a fun weekend, though. Friday night we went out with Meagan and her boyfriend, Cory. We went to Oregano's. It was sooo good. And then we went over to their place and watched the Sun's game and hung out. I love when we get to spent time with Meagan, because we don't get to see each other as often as we used to b/c of our crazy schedules.
Saturday night I went to dinner with Kara, Melissa and Julia, of course, while Nathan was at Priesthood meeting. We went to Gecko Grill. It was pretty good, except Julia didn't know how to behave. I think she totally grossed Kara out when she spit out a chip with salsa on it she didn't like and then put the chip back in the chip bowl, and then she kept trying to touch Melissa with yucky bean hands. Sorry, guys! This is what's it's like with a toddler! After dinner we went over to Melissa's for August's birthday celebration! It was fun! Melissa had made lots of yummy treats and we hung out and played rock band. Julia was being super crazy and wanted to play all the instruments. The funniest was when she sang, b/c you could hear her cute little voice through the microphone. She started getting really tired later on, though, and turned into a brat. But right before we were leaving, she threw up on Melissa's super nice couch! I felt so bad! Luckily it was leather, so it cleaned up pretty easy. She wasn't acting sick, so I guess she just had too much candy.
